From the bottom of the Sirloin primal, it is a neighbor to the Bavette. The Tri Tip has grown in demand given the ease of cooking it. Smoking, Grilling to Baking, it is a versatile and lean cut of meat. Its size lends itself to a nice family style roast for a cozy Sunday or a week's full of prepared meals.
It is fairly tender with full flavor. When prepared to medium rare/medium rare plus, this quality cut can taste amazing!
